Week 2

Feb 11, 2004 msg 5563 Ant:

It has been 2,000 years since we last walked the Earth and in those ancient

days, we were kings…. Our enemies are many, and not always seen. Our allies shift with the tides of the Wyld. Our brothers hate us and we are hunted by those who should be our footsoldiers. Our advisors plot to kill us or to use our power for their own ends. And worse, those of us who turn away from the light become our worst enemies, and they hunt men for sport. Corruption is rife amongst the Celestial Heirarchy. Spirits and elementals struggle for power and for a chance to see the Games of Divinity. We are all but forgotten by the gods.

Except one. The Unconquered Sun has turned his face to the world again. And he sends his appointed to right the wrongs of generations. We are his agents. There are twelve of us.

_______________________________________________________________________

The first (and possibly last) Solar Deliberative in over 2500 years is drawing to a close. One of the Solars, Char has been exiled, and another, the Goblin King has left in disgust, claiming Rathess as his and his alone. The Unconquered Sun has made his wishes known – Creation was given to the Solar Exalted to rule in recognition for all that they had done in the war against the Primordials. That the Solars wish to hand it over to the mortals is pure foolishness. Why would anyone give the world over into the hands of those who would sell each other into slavery, inflict pain and suffering on each other, and do anything to get more wealth and more power?

Why have Lunars, Abyssals, Fae, mortals, Sidereals and Solars involved in what should be the Solar Deliberative?! Gaia is his to rule. He chooses who should be his regents, and he chooses the Solars. The Solars have no right to choose someone else themselves or to shirk their responsibilities as leaders. They are his paragons, the example to which all must aspire.

This decision of the Unconquered Sun is final. He will have no one speak against him.

The world turns. The Malfeans patiently wait for the time when a new, greater Deathlord will appear and unite the other 13 under one banner, although the seperate Deathlords are presently fighting among each other,

and Mask of Winters is actively striving against the Ebon Dragon.

The Ebon Dragon is carrying out his plan to create and become the 6th

Elemental Dragon in order to free himself and his fellow Primordials. If

he succeeds, the universe will be pitched into a war that will destroy it,

as the world will be overrun with demons.

The Scarlet Empress waits for judgement in a forlorn dungeon in Yu Shan,

and Matriach Mnemon conspires to take her throne from the regent. Tepet

Ejava races into the mix, her army loaded into several ships currently

cross the great sea to the Imperial Isle. A civil war of immense

proportions is about to begin – First Age weapons, sorcery and the battles

of the Legions of the Realm will rock the world. Ma Ha Suchi continues to

terrorise the Threshhold and the Council of Entities in Nexus still wish to

meet and parley with the newcomers: the Solars. The Gold and Bronze

Factions of the Sidereal are waging a bitter war of attrition, each seeking

to suppress the Solars or press them into service. And the Bull of the

North looks to inflict his will on even more people.

All eyes are on the one group that can make a difference, and the world

waits with baited breath: the Solar Exalted. All these threats and more,

most unknown, must be faced if the common man is to be relieved of his

misery. The Solar Exalted were champions of man once, and it appears they

must be again. Aided by their brothers in arms, the Lunars, the Sidereal,

the Dragon-Blooded and even the Abyssals, someone needs to make a

difference.

OK, so as far as I remember, you’re all standing on the ruins of the

ancient Deliberative building. I have a few ideas about what you could get

up to in the next adventure, but is there anything any of you want to see

for definite yourselves?

Fighting the Deathlords, the Infernals, the Sidereals? Investigating Tepet

Ejava? Doing something about the Scarlet Empress? Negotiating with the

Council of Entities in Nexus? Rebuilding Rathess?

Mar 22, 2004 Ant:

The Scarlet Empress languishes in a dungeon cell in Yu Shan, a small smile

on her lips. Here, she is close to the greatest adversary of her master.

And here, she cannot be held. She will leave when she is ready, and will

prowl the streets of Yu Shan – the first Infernal to do so in millennia.

And when the time is right, she will face the Unconquered Sun with all of

her new gained power and she will strike him down. When darkness comes to

Creation with the death of the Sun, the Primordials will break free with

the help of the last of the Elemental Dragons – Void – and will rule again.

But the time is not now. The plan has been set in motion, and she is

content to play it out. The best part was fooling the Solars into thinking

that they had captured her. In fact, they had taken her where she wanted

to go and could not on her own. The irony was amusing! Shadrach was a

fool to think she would give him or the rest of them any information the

Ebon Dragon did not want them to know. There would be no redemption for

her. No recanted pledge, no breaking of her oath of allegiance and no

divorce from her husband. All that remained was for her to destroy the

Unconquered Sun and then revel in the grief and regret of her enemies, the

Solars! They decided to play her judges and jurors. Let them know that it

was them who brought about their own downfall.

Now to work on the first part of her plan…..

Ace: Looking froward tothe game tonight, get to brush the desert sands from

Jirrah for a bit.

May the sands of time flow slowy and fruitfully for you.

Ant: I understand that one or two of you have a word or two to say to the

Scarlet Empress, but remember that my post was a ‘cut scene’ type thing.

Your characters don’t know (yet) about it. They’ll have to find out in due

course (when the damage might well be done – anyone want to take over from

the Unconquered Sun if he dies?)

Ace: JIrrah Ashad, child of the sun. Seer of his people, dreamer and sage. I

would step to the fore and become the sun, for the sun must must be subtle

as well as bright and bringing life to all.

Ace: (Char)I yet long to feel the touch of the sun on my flesh, this coldness I feel

inside helps quell the demon inside that I once was. What peace I feel, the

likes that I cannot remember. Am I really here to destroy all this, it is

true; in death there is a beauty and a peace likened to no other. Is that what I see the world to be, a place of quite and peace and death?? Perhaps, this is the world I seek.

NO life is the most important thing, I will become an agent of death and destroy them from the inside. I will become death from the shadows again.

Their ends wil be my sacrement, their flesh my food. I will seek them out, gain their confidence and then give them the rest they so seek. But again I must soak and bathe my body in death and blood, I will not become like others and kill without remorse but remember that I am an angel of death from the heavens. When this is over and I feel the warmth of the sun again I will build a shrine to those I have killed and destroyed and ask for their forgiveness, those that are deserving I will remeber; those not I will caste their names into the eternal fire that will burn there, in the hope they will be reborn into the warmth of life. Or I will seek them out again, and show no mercy. A terror I will become again, the terror of the eternal sun.

Look upon me and weep, for I will see into your soul and know you.

Fear me, love me, but forget not that I know you. My judgemnet eternal, I am the quite blade of the sun. I am the night, finder, seeker, the hand of death to the enemies of life. Know me and weep for I will never rest, my attonement is my eternity.
